driving along in my dads van on the way back from santa pod on a run what you brung day, when a flash of orange came past in the mirror to find we had been over taken by a bond bug, to be fair though we saw it on the drag stip earlier that day running 11 second quater mile times, and it had 4 exhasut pipes unusally placed on the back, i think it had a hayabusa engine in, the guy had some serious balls doing the speeds he was doing down the country lanes, nutcase

A flat bed with 3 stock cars stacked on the back going down a country lane(he must have been doing 70+)

and not in the mini, but got Overtaken by a hearse once...

Just reading the bit about the Ferrari earlier on in this topic....

There was a chap in Stevenage who had a very short stroke big bore 1300 Mini and was witnessed beating a Ferrari around town... nice roundabouts etc....

Whilst at college, a "fellow student" was blabbing about how quick his 2.0 litre Capri was.... told me he wouldn't bother going up against my Mini as he knew he would beat it without a problem....... That was until another student told him he hadn't a chance, not when considering that he had been blown away by my Mini and he drove a 3.0 litre Capri 2.0L Capri man never mentioned it again though

For the record, my Mini was 1480 with a Longman head, IDA weber, 3into1 manifold and a lot of home grown parts....

Well luckily my daily driver is an Audi A3 so not too much goes past however on an empty tank need to get back to the farm to fill up I may of been overtaken by people carrier with a full family towing a caravan.. that was humiliating as they all just stared at me..

On the plus side I overtook a saxo once in a tractor with 14tonnes of muck in the back due to them stopping at an old junction which isn't one anymore after them overtaking me and then not letting them past.. haha..

The daily drive, Audi A8 4.2 V8 which actually weighs less than you think being alloy.
I did get over taken by a 5 Series Bmw b12 alpina. that thing went past me like I was standing still!

And in the pick up.... well its still a 998 and I am happy cruizin in it lapping up the stares from people over taking so I dont mind being over taken.

Since they get up to the front of the line on every red light anyways they always have enough momentum to pass all the other cars.
