Didn't realise there were so many responses to this....
To answer some questions....
Condition is not taken into consideration, but like a parkers guide, those in 'project' state generally work their way down to the minimum and those in good... towards the top...
Juju, I did look at the sample and worked out that it was only the upper level which were outside 2 sd's from the calculated mean, therefore would have given a distorted view.

that cant be that right because if i found a 1959 mini for them prices i would have alot ov mk1 minis and not that many 1990s what i have instead
If you'd bothered to look the last data was produced in August 2011.... also as you may have noticed from the graph posted in August 2011 the data for the pre 70's cars is a lot more dispersed than the consistent results for the 80's and early 90's....
