I do drive quite a few different cars for work...worse iv driven so far was a 98 golf...1400 16v apparently spost to be a good engine but in a heavy old golf it just didnt seem very good and body roll and just seemed to wander the road a bit...basicly, the car was shagged
i have a 94 with the 8v engine, body roll is something similar to a pirate ship and does feel like it could do with the extra valves. although its not too bad considering whats its pulling.
and not bad for a free car....
the worst car ive driven is a fiesta, the 2001/2002 ones ive driven two of them and whilst they are fairly good at handling and quite nippy. the power steering is rediculously light and as questioned above, barely any feeling from the pedals. the engine whines horribly and the clutch is horrible
saying that my works van is a citreon berlingo and it is god awful, there isnt a place i could think of worse than the cockpit of that, its cramped, seat doesnt go back far enough, horribly plastic, the power steering is different every time you turn the wheel, you sit above the pedals, accelerator and brake go down about four inch, the clutch about a mile, washer pump blows a fuse when its cold and the back doors never have closed properly. (not mentioning the bloody tracker), when you lean to change the sat nav too, the hazards always come on due to the switch being in the worst place imaginable.
oh and the stereo scratches my cd's.
this van is about 12 months old

Now I have driven quite a few bad cars, but........
My Alfa 147 is at the garage after some plonker rear ended it, while i was stopped at a set of traffic lights.
I picked up the courtesy car yesterday, In all its splendor, A 2010 Renault Megane 1.6 'sports tourer'.
Its a big lump of aplasticcar, painfully underpowered and isnt a nice place to be in.
So I pose the question - Whats the worst car you have driven?
Either the Hyundai "courtesy" car that I had the other day (deeply horrible) or the 1982 Renault Fuego I used to own (I know, I know... it was a long time ago, I was young and foolish...)

My mates Toyota Yaris
It drives like it's on stilts, is woefully underpowered, sounds horrible with it's 3 cylinder engine and the driving position is dreadful
I would sooner walk!
I've driven a yaris and it's a bit like driving a van lol
Well when my mate had that alpha my mini had 58bhp at the wheels 3.1 diff, it's the 1.8 142bhp? And he couldn't loose me, I overtook him once too and he claimed he was having trouble with his throttle bodie, it was funny as when I first 'raced' him my engine was near standard then and he would just pull away. Actually driving then both the aplha felt a bit quicker, but hard to judge as it was a while ago now lolI've also driven a alpha 147 lol, was quick-ish though couldn't out run my good old 1275 lol
Do you reckon? I find it hard to guage really, i would say the alfa is quicker than my SPI - 130bhp / 1200kg vs 70 bhp / 700ish kg
May old man who is a copper still talks about the maestros he had to drive as panda wagons! Hates them!

1.6 05 or something Nissan Almera in apple green - Driving instructor
1.0 Hyundai Getz 54
1981 Mini
2.0 Citroen Xantia Diesel (no turbo) tank
1.2 Fiat Seicento
1.1 Vauxhall Corsa
2.0 (probably) Diesel Ford Focus newish (it was really easy to drive!)
1.6 Auto Vauxhall Zafira
And they're all pretty nice to drive ! (They're all colleagues, friends etc)
I did drive a friends Skoda Felicia (before they came out with the nice ones) and its definitely nothing to write home about - Your knees start rubbing your face before the clutch is up and the car finally starts moving

Vauxhall Frontera 2.2 LWB - awful handling, awful performance, awful economy, awful build quality.
To be fair to the ole "Fronty" you could accuse most of other big 4x4's on the market of all of those things (apart from the dodgy build quality that is, and even that's not peculiar to the Frontera it's the same with any Vauxhall!
