these people listing normaly decent cars...im guessing either the cars shagged or uv not driven alot of cars before....mainly thinking the person who mentioned the new fiesta....guessing it was a below base spec special version?

I agree, I've driven a rover 25 and wasn't that bad, loads of body roll and it's the only car I've stalled since passing my test but it's quite pleasent. Also driven 2 differnt meganes a 1.9 disel estate and a 2l turbo 225bhp 2 door, the disel isn't bad... nice and comfortable, pretty nippy ish, the turbo was an absolute beast, actually got into a little bother with that one lol.
I've also driven a alpha 147 lol, was quick-ish though couldn't out run my good old 1275 lol

the worst car I've driven will have to be a vw polo I think, but it wasn't that bad
best is either megane 225bhp or saab 9-3

Ford KA

driven 2, both handeled like awfully but in differnet ways, the older one, R reg, had catastrofic understeed, the second was just jelly in the corners (51 plate)

they both locked up under braking at the slightest whiff of moisture! and took forever to accelerate to any reasonable speed!
shocking shocking car!

Youv just described my mini in one sentance there. Apart from the shocking car bit

something wrong with it then, my mini never locks up and dont take long to get to 50, their onwards the acceleration drops a bit, but doesnt struggle to get to 85! the engines pretty much standard, and the brakes, only ebc greenstuff pads!

i got an MG ZR, just a slightly modded 25 obviously and to be honest its a great little car, comfy, gutsy for a 1.4, steering is excelent, and the body role isnt bad for a standard car imho!

Well don't forget I'm comparing it to mini lol, the 25 I drove was a 1.4 it's not bad at all, sounds quite mean for a 1.4

Witch is why I’m not slagging off the bmw 535i I got to drive, as it was only running on 5 cylinders at the time.

The worst car I have ever driven is amongst this lot of sad excuses for cars.

1994 Ford Escort Diesel - just about the worst car I have ever had to suffer. Zero steering feel and zero performance. The last company car I had. No way was I going to pay tax on something I did not like. I brought a 205 GTi instead.
1978 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 - A four door saloon with a wobbly rear axle and harsh engine. Blue on the outside and blue on the inside.
1979 Morris Marina 1.3 Coupe - Where do I start, vile colour (baby poo biege), vile brown velour interior, 1.3 and 60 bhp means 0-60 in about an hour. Horrendous clutch judder. At least the performance meant the inadequate chassis was never tested. It was my Grandads, I had the pleasure of driving it after it was passed to my brother.
1989 Hyundai Pony - Early Korean attempt at a car, full of grey plastic and zero driving pleasure.
1981 Vauxhall Chevette 4-Door - Like the Cavalier, only smaller, and gold in colour.
1990 Ford escort 1.6 GL Auto - This was my mothers car, it was a low milage one previous owner car. It was a horrible rattly rot box that drove like a shopping trolley. Life less and dead with a 3-speed auto.
1986 Rover 213SE - One of my Dads cars that was obviously aimed at aging pensioners. It was blue outside and grey inside. The engine was quite revvy (Honda 1.3), but was ruined by auto box. The steering was so light it felt as though the car was jacked up and the front wheels were off the ground.
1981 Austin Metro 1.0 - A courtesey car that was a vile, rattly rot box. thankfully I only had it for a day.
1973 MG MGB Roadster - The worst car I have ever owned. For some reason I wanted wind in the hair motoring once, what I got was an evil handling pile of old junk. It was so slow, the scuttle shake was appalling and it was just so cramped.
1989 Hyundai Stella - This was a rehashed Mark IV Cortina, but worse, a lot worse. I worked at a Hyudai dealers and had the pleasure of driving the cars from time to time, I think I was scarred for life and have never driven a Korean car since.
Lada Riva - drove it for about 400 yards, it had the heaviest steering every encounted and the feel of the interior was just horrible.
Volvo 343 DL - Had the pleasure (or should that be displeaure) of pedalling one of these around Scotland. Under powered, soggy suspension, creaky dull interior, ugly lumpen looks. Need I say more.

Was just a general remark about Minis being classed as slow and lack of ABS making locking up more common, more for comical effect, not intended in a serious manor.
Nothing to do with the condition of my car thank you.

we hired one in cyprus a fe years back...Drove to the top of the trudos mountains in it, famlly of four, lots of holiday gear. 1.0 litre engine, air con on fulll blast. 45 degress outside
Sheer 100ft drops, crosses remembering the dead every few meters.

Worst motoring experience ever

I went round Cyprus including up the Trudos mountains in this...

The car itself was crap, but I really enjoyed driving it in an odd way, it was basic and honest, it was slow as hell with it being a 1.3 and the air con only work on the first 3 blower speeds, but I had loads of fun throwing it about the mountain roads and thrashing it about. There's some really good roads out there too.

The absolute worst car I've ever driven is the new-ish style Punto, (2008 I think it was) Horrible, gutless car, uncomfortable, wallowy, no feedback from any of the major controls and the worst driving position I've come across. Luckily I only drove it once as it was my brothers courtesy car when his Vectra got wrote off. He only had it for 2 days, he drove it once and he even commented on how hateful it was.

Afraid I'd have to give the Sunbeam another vote, the one I drove was also shockingly vague and wallowy - maybe the higher end models were better or they had a common suspension/steering fault?

I also drove a 1.3 Maestro which was difficult to actually keep on the road round corners* - another car with a reputable hot hatch reputation.

* but I was only driving it because the owner was in the back smoking weed, maybe that had summet to do with it :) .

I'll stick up for the Metro, cracking little work horse and better to drive than many bog standard hatches of the same era.

My mates Toyota Yaris
It drives like it's on stilts, is woefully underpowered, sounds horrible with it's 3 cylinder engine and the driving position is dreadful
I would sooner walk!

I own a Grande Punto which is pretty poor but not the worst car ive driven. That place has to be reserved for a Lada Niva I owned for about 2 weeks before scrapping it! The ******* thing had a blown starter so i had to use the crank start to get it going and it would only switch off by me stalling it. Handled like a bag of turd and had no guts at all.

Do you reckon? I find it hard to guage really, i would say the alfa is quicker than my SPI - 130bhp / 1200kg vs 70 bhp / 700ish kg

May old man who is a copper still talks about the maestros he had to drive as panda wagons! Hates them!
