Afraid I can't help then...

Can i report you all for vauxhall bashing? seen as im incredibly offended and upset... :)

Report away, seeing as I'm also the mod who'll deal with it, I'll just go have a quiet word with myself. :)

I like my Vauxhalls, on my 2nd Vectra now and never had a problem in 120,000 miles across the 2 of them, and only service them every 25,000 miles! The first one did 105,000 miles on the original spark plugs :)

I have never had a major problem with a Vauxhall. So has the rest of my family however I know people who have had nothing but problems with them. They do however need servicing when Vauxhall states. I think this may be the problem that some people have. You can't expect a car to keep working if it is not looked after.

As for fords I have had nothing but bad luck with them. They live up to their name of Fix Or Repair Daily

In your personal opinion, however, nowadays they're shown to be among the most reliable cars out there, in the same league, and recently better then the Japanese manufacturers.

Making car manufacturers into acronyms for derogatory names is nothing new, but when speaking to someone a few months back he seemed to base his whole outlook of life on these sayings, without actually having any first hand evidence. I hope most of the mini community aren't so narrow minded, else what are we doing driving notoriously unreliable British Leyland vehicles?

It is my opinion however in two years of using my mini, my mini was in a garage less times than my dads Ford focus. Ok my mini did kind of die due to rust however its engine didn't blow up like my dads focus did. That resulted in us having to do an engine change (which Ford said could not be done by two guys in their garage- proved them wrong). The other thing is when a mini goes wrong it is usually a lot cheaper and easier to fix than a Ford focus.

Nova- No Owner Values Accident (safety)?

Also, insulting others based on vehicular choice is immature.
