Hi

Went to look at a brand new Vespa PX 125 today at £1800 on the road.

I have never had a bike/scooter before but thought it would look good next to the mini on the drive.

Does anyone have any opinions/feedback/thoughts on whether they're any good or if theres anything I should be looking for specifically on them?

Thanks

I used to have one of those, generally... i would say yes get one if you were going to use it around a city or something... but they are painfully awful on motorways and open roads and the like, an make sure you dont hit any potholes with those little wheels. It'll have you straight off (:
My advice? get a real bike.

Yeah just for tootling around on. Not really prepared to fork out for a big bike and the 'big bike test' to be honest. Its a toss up between that, a 125 crosser/super moto or a Italjet Dragster.... just for some transport to have a laugh on. My dad used to be a mod and it really appeals to me (im 27 now - big kid) even though he drags me round Harley shops to show me what hes got and I cant have.

Avoid the cheap import copies, but i would be tempted at one for town. Its the retro look of them
oh and make sure quality parts are used, same as the mini's really. Cheap parts break quick

They go hand-in-hand!
wouldnt go over 60 on one, although this has a 200cc engine fitted.
Look cool together though :closed:

definantly get a px but you can get a good one for less than 1800 if you want speed go for the rarer vespa t5 as they are faster but look the same unless you get the mk1 which has a sqaure headlight. but im biased

the T5 Mk1 is like the 1275 GT of Minis... some may like it and some may not!!
