lol Graham,....becoming a rep soon, tin number3 starting soon on subby......it is slow but satisfying repairs, they are each a piece of the puzzle, just getting them in the right place and order takes time but results are good

gutted for you pal, but I thought I had welded the entire front end on too short till I realised I had trapped the battery cable betweem the subby and steering rack !! I am sure you will sort it tho.
Front subby looking good with the electrolysis. Such a good method of rust removal, but when you paint it up remember to leave bolt holes as the clearance is very tight and I ended up scraping all the paint out of mine so the bolts fitted !! Lots od grease followed !!

electrolises on subby done..... cleaned it of, then used Por Metal Prep and washed it of after 10 minutes and then....u guessed
a good 1st coat of Por15.
subby cleaned off with metal prep and then yet-washed it

leaving it to dry in the 'sun'
Por15 1st coat

when finished I attach the end crossmember repair piece, pit the subby in position and do the welding then, to make sure all is alligned.

I have done a second coat tonight, one can either put a 3rd coat on, leave it and bolt it back on,.... or key the paint job with scotpad and spay topcoat on it, no need for primer.....but yes it does look good, I will put a 3rd coat on it tmz and make a few close-up piccies
