I take it you have moved the roof drain points further round ?? If so why, will it reduce the pooled water anywhere or purely as it looks good?

Hi Muk, nice to be back on at last !!
I take it you have moved the roof drain points further round ?? If so why, will it reduce the pooled water anywhere or purely as it looks good?
Graham
Hi Graham, yes it has been ages if you and I are on here more or less everyday the roof drain points where the normal roof guttering design up until 1975 ish, and changed to the roof draining points from Mk3 onwards. these old gutters also have a lip welded on above the doors and rear quarter windows, it could reduce the water sitting in those famous corner but the old ones( the ones in the pictures) are easely blocked with leaves and dirt build up, hence they changed the design. As Evy is an oldish dear I left the origional speck from 1971,.....

Graham
keep it up mukka you doing a brill job cheers tom
well done mate thats going great
Agree with the others - an amazing job on that rear repair. I always enjoy following your topic. Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do next. All the best.
Hugh
Thanks guys, it certainly has been a daring one, rear panel replacement is not for the faint hearted, A lot more planning ahead made it 'easy',
I will let you in on this,.....I will start on the boot floor and rear seats, and heel-board, then I can line-up the new arches. The rear quarters will be easyer to repair when that floor is in. That will be my 'May Mission'

Great work mate, I am gonna buy a project soon so I might have to enlist some advice from you as you clearly know what you're doing! Mk1, MK2 or innocenti cooper, what do you think the decision is too hard for me???
Fraser hi, good for you to join , before buying anything, make sure you have the place and time to do one up and pending on state odf the mini you buy work on a 2 year stint,....Mk1-2 or innochetti, .....all depends what your cashflow is, any total restore is about 2-2.5K on Materials, engine and body bits tools,...painting one, about £800-£1200
