Back in July i bought a Pierce 7 port head, the pierce need a fair amount of fettling and cant just be bolted on they dont even lap the valves in for your £££££, oh and it has girls valves fitted!

The new head as it arrived

First thing bought was the flanges (i love the word flange)

Made the trumpets

Test fit
Posted Image

Plenum made and test fitted
Posted Image

Injector bungs made and machined to suit the trumpets and the lot press fitted together

Injector rail drilled to suit
Posted Image

Made a mounting plate and cable holder adjustment for the jenvey throttle body

Then it was off to be tigged, sadley the welder has had an issue welding it and i hope to have this resolved shortly

Theres no comparison really the SC head is superior, when i ordered this i think john was just finalising tests on his and this seemed the cheaper alternative, nowing what i know now i would have bought the SC one or a pierce head from HRE as HRE put the decent valves and springs in and sort out the ports and theres less fabrication involved in the SC one as the injector ports are machined into the head actually making it a neater package.

Last thing i ever buy from webcon as i feel its not really what i was sold and the customer service is poor.......... they dont want to hear about problems and never ring you back.

i was happy with the power from the 5 port to be honest, what i am after is more drivability and more progressive boost control the 5 port was hard to drive and power just came in a massive lump about 4k and tore the clutch apart the car was also very exhausting to drive even with mapped ignition, i am hoping that by running injection i can control the fuelling better coupled with a smaller more efficiant turbo will make the car more user friendly.

No progress really been up to my eyeballs in work, i have everything to throw the short block together now.
Had a few parts machined but no pics yet as i have not collected them.
