Dan thats very interesting, surely that would make it the most qualified to be the "new mini" does anyone drive a micra? can anyone tell me if there are alike to drive. i have seen some micras go around a rally stage in minehead and was quite impressed but i dont think due to health and saftey any car could truly replace the mini because its so simple, only modern cars today that are this simple or Larda and other communist moters

Personally I recon the the Ka is the spirtitual successor to the Mini, wheel in each corner, underpowered, handles well even on stock skinny tyers and very good use of internal space as well as looking very different to evry other car when it was launched.

That was exactly what I thought when I test drove one a few years back, plus the fact that the Ka had a price tag that wasnt out of the everyday persons reach. This was also about the time that we had sold the misuses Bini and I found it quite ironic that we had sold the so called "new mini" on, in preference to a Ford model that made a far better attempt at being the new mini than the BMW offering ever did!! :-

I believe James May in a very early episode of Top Gear claimed this steaming turd to be a successor to the Mini....

I had one of the earlier models as a courtesy car once & it was one of the most hateful pieces of tin that I have ever had the misfortune to drive, that said I never managed to get that kind of speed out of any other standard 1.0 litre car ever before or since, the thing really was quite frightening! :-

Ka, very good use of internal space

You're joking right? The Ka is like the opposite to a tardis huge outside and tiny inside, handle well though

New Ka is much worse than the old Ka for interior space. At least you could actually fit two full size adults in the back of an original Ka....
