I have an 06 plate mini cooper park lane. The interior has standard orange lights in the door handles, and reading lgihts. Just wondering if anyone has fitted their own ambient lgihting into their mini, or used LED bulbs. Is it possible and any advise???

Its not hard to do if you have a good electrical knowledge. Multi colour LED units are quite cheap now, so as long as your handy with the fibreglass it would be quite simple to build some enclosures to house it and put the LED driver/contorller behind the dash.
We have done a couple of ambient light installs in other cars, the most recent being a 350z, but it was a fixed red colour not colour changing, but as i say, the colour changing bit would be the easiest part.
This is the product we used;
