used to work in bodyshop for 6 years n i could never understand why you washed it off either so i just used sandpaper or a scotchbrite to fetch worst off then wire brush completes it

its kinda 'belt and braces' but it give peace of mind that it'll slow down rust re-appearing.

Isn’t it the same with most paint strippers that have to be washed off after?used to work in bodyshop for 6 years n i could never understand why you washed it off either

I recommend you give it plenty of coats before you wipe it all off and then a few coats of kurust. before you stick primer on.
