finally done a bit more to the car this week, she's been a bit neglected lately so had to spend some money on it.
New discs/pads, new pair of tyres for std stuff.
Then a nice stainless tubular manifold as it had blown the turbo>manifold gasket again so figured i might aswell fit one while its all apart.
Also ditched the standard boost solenoid, as std it runs 7psi in 1st/2nd then 10psi in 3rd/4th/5th. Going out for a play today if it dries up to wind it up to 15psi in every gear, should make it a bit more lively

winters here so that means its time for standard wheels and winter tyres, not enjoying how lame it looks back on these wheels atm but means i might be able to get off my drive when it snows this year!
on the plus side though i'm going to split my normal wheels and polish them back up and probably get the centres powdercoated a different colour while they're off

j had one on lease for 12 months, same year as yours. was nice fun car, not much power but made up for it by being a nice light weight.
we once did birkenhead on the wirral to the M1/north circular, tad over 215 miles, in just under 1hr 45mins.

cheers matt
Anon, they do cruise really well on the motorway, lovely long gearing!
I mainly use it for going to Warwick and back, i've heard it'll do that run in around 34 minutes or so...

well it looks like this one's come to an end, kid came to look at the car tonight and we've agreed on a sale so it'll be gone this time next week. Really going to miss this car, but have had lots of good times with it.
Looking forward to getting myself a van asap to convert into a camper again!
