Hi all ,i have a water leak out of my heater inside the car
i think it is coming from the matrix,
i was thicking of putting in radweld before buying a new matrix

does the radweld last long?

is this stuff any good or are you better off buying a matrix?

radweld is awful stuff, use wynns radiator stop leak. although for how easy it is you might as well just change the heater matrix.

My dad used radweld in his Ford Focus Estate V reg 3 weeks back now. (Oil was getting into the water system thus casuing the car to overheat). It's done him well so far. For the £10 it's cost him it's worth it so he doesn't have the hassle of having to rush to find a new car. He seemed pretty impressed with the results :(

Its awful, its designed as a "get you home" fix. its not meant to be used as a permanent repair.
It should be flushed out of the system when the repair has taken place.
If i were stuck on the moors with a water leak, then i would still think twice about using it

Fix it properly, would only use rad weld as an absolute last resort.

Its ok to postpone something thats already broken, but for the sake of a £30 matrix and half an hours work i would replace it.

Bypass the heater for now whilst you source a new matrix.
