Hi,

I have just taken delivery of you old British open Classic L671 GHM , it is still in excellent condition except for a few tears ( 1 in the sunroof headlining and the drivers door card.It has had a new front end so the badges are different and the pinstripe is missing on the wings ,the drivers seat needs a new diaphraghm but apart from that it is in excellent condition , will post some pictures .

Wow bigred - she looks great!

I'm surprised the lady who brought her sold her so quick? She looks in great nick and has reminded me how much I love driving Minis.

Think it might be time to get another one....

All the best and let me know what you think,

o

Hey all,

I've finally managed to get some pictures taken of my car!

She's been used by my gran for the past two months as her last car died. Its great to see she's been looking after and its a shame that i've now got to sell her due to the impending arrival of a company car

A new thread has ben started in the for sale section.

Apologies for the water splashes on the seats - they are not stains, I just left the passenger window a bit oipen when I was washing her off, doh! :genius: :D

All the best and feedback on how she is looking would be much appreciated

o :P

yes she sold it in february of this year and then the lad who bought it had to sell as he was getting ready for a family and his girlfriend told him to sell.Got her for a song under 2's so am going to tidy her up and keep her as standard as practical.
Will keep posted as to progress.

My sister owned one, but it wasn't in great shape when she bought it and we didn't do the magnet test and within no time discovered one wing was full of filler and other such cxxp.

Anyway she kept it for a few years, but didn't invest any money in up-keeping or restoring it as such. But I made sure it was regularly serviced and greased etc and all the work was done by me.

This is my British Open Classic, I sold it 6 years ago to make way for my mk1 monster and recently saw it sold on ebay for £200 more than I sold it for.

It is not a bad site when you first see it but then it hasn't been updated for over three years.

The site founder I believe had his BOC stolen and he no longer bothers with the site.
