I became so fed up recently of my dodgy electrics, and regular garages and sparkies fobbing me off, that i decided to book my car in to ML Motorsport in Strood, Kent to have the work done. I know that they are a big name in the Mini world, and they are relatively close to me, but i have put off going to them in the past because i have assumed that because of this reputation they would be expensive and have a huge waiting time.

Well, i have been pleasantly surprised. Right from the first time i rang Andy at ML to inquire about them installing a new wiring loom, i was reassured that they new exactly what they were talking about. This is said in comparison to the regular garages that have seen my mini in the past. I have been having work done buy a guy who only works on older cars, but there is nothing like taking your pride and joy to someone that has an intimate knowledge of all things Mini.

I gave Andy a list of things that i wanted him to do, and if ever there was something else that they came up that would potentially cost me a bit more, he would give me a call and talk it through with me. This removes that feeling that you've 'been mugged', that i have had at so many other garages.

The car is still with Andy at the moment, so i hope that when i get her back on Saturday i will be able to update this thread with a glowing report. She will have had the AC Dodd factor added to her by then, so here's hoping that she will have gained a few horses as well :)

Have been to ML a number of times now. Andy is a sound guy, the only garage I feel confident taking my mini too!
