Pictures of my beast, circa 2003 before a lot of the other mods came out....

Rolling roaded at the time at 227 bhp, was fun!

Mr mab01uk, what are the MINI ones like to drive? I liked the cooper, but what's the ONE like? How much poke?

Plenty of poke in the One really, if you really want Cooper performance the One's Mk1 2001-2006 1.6 engine is exactly the same as the Cooper anyway but electronically limited. With an off the shelf plug in remap like 'Bluefin' you can have Cooper power + a bit more in minutes.
(Note: Not MCS that is supercharged of course).

some of these are nice.
i dont think id have one unless i had the money to make it one off, there are just far too many on the roads of brum.

and as someone else said earlier in this they are very feminine as standard, even if you have a "cooper".
they just need to look more aggressive and manly.

I love the look of the MINI GP with the red calipers and mirrors, as well as the limited editioness of them. Every other standard MINI doesn't do anything for me. Some of these modified ones are quite nice though.

I can't bare them standard! But the stance, comfort and appearance factor tickles me a bit.

I'd much prefer the contender, an Audi A1 :strongsad:

IMO the BMW minis are o.k but the one I was really impressed with is the one I saw on Eurosport a couple of nights ago...It was a Countryman which was then lying ninth overall in the Dakar Rally. I think our lovely little old ones could possibly struggle through some of those South American sand dunes!!

id much prefer a vw scirocco :strongsad:

I like them with the euro look, stretched tyres and dished wheels, and the chrome bits painted instead. The Third one in the first post is nice. For those that don't like them, just think of them as any other modern car and they make much more sense. I'd have one any day over say a modern day focus, astra, civic etc.

Any more pics of it?

I've always wanted a dark grey Cooper S like this but for some reason, never actually took the plunge and bought one, same as an S2000...

No, they all look disgusting. because ALL of them are mostly plastic. I hate plastic cars. Anybody can bolt a bodykit or wheels on a car and make it look crap.

And as to 'stance is everything' I hope youve got a big wallet, because minis do not like being stanced, without them nomming on your tyres or arches.
They should have come out the factory on thier tits :strongsad:

I'm sure one could be made to look cool, but I'm yet to see one. I think the styling of the original car is a bit suspect. Altogether too polished and manufactured to appeal to marketing focus groups. They almost look like a cartoon or something pixar would stick a face on.

They need more grown up aggression, more proper race bred parts and less chav accessories and badly chosen expensive paint.
