Haha, no they dont, its part of the 'storage' package I believe? You get nets in the footwell and boot too but I haven't got the clubman boot ones, I think the secret boot floor on the Clubman might be in the same pack or at least not free anyway, good old BMW.

I've let this thread down  defo need to get some proper photos of mine now we're having this lovely weather! :P

Noticed I get more attention in the Bini than I ever get in the classics! gives me a bigger smile walking towards it too than the classics do :o my work colleagues nickname it the turtle because hoe it's sitting lol. The 3SDMs Looked to big on it, so put it back on the purple wheels for now, but might keep them as they look fresh

Hi

Can I ask a question to the BMW mini owners please?

I'm actually thinking of getting one as my daily driver and just wanted to ask about fuel consumption.  How much does it cost to fuel up (have they've all got the same size tanks) and how many miles to the tank.  I know I can look up the official figures on the official site, but they aren't usually anything like the real thing.

Don't know what model to get yet, as I'm still thinking about it.

Got a Yaris at the moment and can get around 340 miles to a £40 tank with both motorway and town stop start driving.  I commute about a 50 mile round trip each day  Is the mini about the same or worse/better.

Thanks

Jo

What year or model of MINI are you asking about as the engines and fuel consumption figures vary quite significantly over the years since 2001.

ie. Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3, One, Cooper or Cooper S.......also petrol or diesel?

I have a second gen cooper s clubbie and I'm averaging 36.5.. That's not driving with economy in mind. I did manage to average 40 but that was really trying hard. I live in a very hilly area so its never going to be amazeballs.
A tank is about ohhh 55 squidlies and it will last 400 miles mostly..
My tax is 145 a year which considering the performance is a pretty good cost..

Police%20New%20MINI_zpsaxkdipkb.jpg

"POLICE officers in Brighton and Hove could be set for a Mini adventure with this snazzy new arrival to the force fleet."

The force was offered the chance to trial the new Mini as a concept vehicle a year ago with a diesel Mini from BMW tested for its effectiveness in neighbourhood policing.

Having been used in East Sussex for the past 12 months, the Mini has now moved to Brighton and Hove to see how effective it could be.

Dennis Ord, the head of joint transport for Surrey and Sussex Police, said: “The aim is to see if the Mini can carry more than a Fiesta but is cheaper to run than a Focus.

“It is a low-spec Mini and was nearly new when we got it so it is in warranty for another 18 months and has so far proved very popular with the officers who have used it."
