Is that a Recaro pole position seat? I had them in my old car and would love one in my MINI. I'm used to sitting low down in the seat :P mind you, the standrd R50 seats go pretty low

Thanks, yeah it is a Pole.  I do have another but I'm just waiting for decent subframes to become available again.  I found the standard seats pretty good tbf but with it doing more track work I got fed up of ending up on the passenger seat

Meisters are good if you spend the time setting them up, otherwise they're either harsh or too soft. AP's are meant to be good out of the box. Who did you get them off in the end? Rich at Orranje is good for parts but he's off ill at the moment

From demon tweeks.

MINI is giving me the hump. Stupid air bag light was on when I bought it, but read so much about it being a common issue because the cables near the passenger seat so wasn't bothered about it as MINI I viewed before even had it on! And my mates had it on (his tool I used. Cleared his before but not mine)

Connect it to a scanner and it's not throwing up the airbag light so can't restart it :(

Did have 1 could about heater control bank sensor or something

Have you tried this procedure in the MINI-wiki link below?........it worked ok for me with a B200 reset tool on a couple of MINI's including mine.

All I've done at the moment is check the wiring under the seats which all looks fine and tried two different code fault readers, done a few resets on each, but light still won't go out. Not faults either, well apart from the one i mentioned above

(neither of the code readers were the B 200 though)

Also looks like someone has already messed around with the wiring under the seats... Thing is the mot was only a month and half back and it would of failed. Contacted the seller and they said they noticed it come on a few days before listing it for sale... that's all

Alot of early MINI's had the wiring altered under the seat by Dealers under warranty.......there was a BMW TSB issued to dealers on soldering up the wiring connectors. Not all fault code readers work with the MINI and some only work on later years......I think pre and post 2004 facelift R50/53 use different tools for the SRS systems depending on manufacturer......what year is your mates MINI? I think the B200 tool was only for up to 2004 models.
