I think it suits them well. I'm not sure whether I like the black one I posted with the (Borbet?) wheels though.

And does that guy want to sit any lower in his seat in the 4th pic

Haha, they could all do with being 10mm higher for me, and the camber is a nono

Not too keen on slammed MINIs. We are lowering ours 30mm, but any lower and they just look silly to me. 

 

Need to decide on some new wheels too! The S wheels on ours are bloody heavy and don't look that good.

World Record Broken

On Saturday the 7th September, at the FIA European Finals at Santa Pod Raceway, England,   Thomas Barnes piloted the 1320MINI.com BMW MINI to a new world record.  Thomas drove the MINI hard – the result: a new world ET record for a BMW MINI of 10.379 @ 136.58 in a ¼ of a mile and if that wasn’t enough a few hours later a new world MPH record for a BMW MINI in ¼ of a mile of 139.83. (see video for latest).

Got lots of plans for it, just enjoying it fairly standard at the moment though.

As boring as some people might think it is, I actually prefer the standard ride hight. Not too keen on the really low MINIs.

I think in the years to come a nice fairly standard R53 Cooper S in good condition like yours will become a much sought after example of the early Mk1 MINI.......in the meantime enjoy some supercharged fun driving your R53 !
