I wouldnt mind eletic blue tyres....... now that would be cool!

Some of these Binis look interesting. A lot of effort seems to have gone into them. Still not my cup of tea and I still dont think this should be in Mini chat but whatever.

Its strange that a modified classic mini can be done tastefully (not always, but most of the time) But almost all modified Binis could be (could have been) a Max Power feature!

There is a company that sells tyres in any colour you want. They are expensive but look very cool on a car if it done right not sure what its called but you could google it and find them.
But be warned they are very expensive!

there seems to be a very common theme with these.

most have,

plastic arches (black) going into plastic (again black) skirts and then the same around the back and front.

giving the car a black border/frame.
only a few have arches which are colour coded with the rest of the car.

is this an area in which there arent many other alternatives arches wise?

most of them are like that with the textured matte plastic 'border'.

here is mine colour coded aero kit

are there any "murdered" Bini's out there?
i'd imagine they could look pretty sick.

Don't really save pictures of 'murdered' MINI's or Mini's but these are maybe a bit different or unusual...................

that top pic is pretty cool.
you do realise by murdered i dont mean smashed to bits??, i mean all black (usually matte) with nothing that shines, no chrome anywhere,
usually have smoked light lenses aswell.
i saw a bentley contenental GT in brum which was all black even the front grille and it looked awesome.

You mean like this, sometimes called the 'stealth' look? There were quite a few at Mini United, Silverstone as many mainland Europe MINI enthusiasts came over and seemed to have that look. I think there were also a couple of European classics in black or dark green matte too which looked pretty cool. :)

Note the windscreen and rear bumper sticker.....(for LH Drive roads!)

yes thats the style but the second picture is better, as its even got darkened light lense's and the badge seems a little less "chrome-y".

It seems MINI have read your thoughts and a MINI Matt Special Edition is about to be launched at least in France and some other European countries! :ermm:

Quote:
"We’ve received word from a European source that next week MINI is set to unveil a special edition car for France and some other countries in the EU. Called “The MINI Mat” (we’re not sure about the spelling), the package will feature a checkered interior and mirror covers, plus a special matte black finish. Our source tells us that rather than a ground up custom paint color, the MINI Mat will have a matte layer overlaying the factory black paint. We’re not sure if that’s paint or vinyl, but either way it’ll likely be a sharp looking finish available for the Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and JCW. Look for details next week. (The photo is not the MINI Mat, but it does show how matte black finish could look)."
