there seems to be a very common theme with these.
most have,
plastic arches (black) going into plastic (again black) skirts and then the same around the back and front.
giving the car a black border/frame.
only a few have arches which are colour coded with the rest of the car.
is this an area in which there arent many other alternatives arches wise?
Unlike the classic Mini which tends to need 'offset', on MINI's most widths of wheel/combinations of tyres can have enough 'inset' to be accomodated within the standard black plastic arches, which were originally designed by Rover into the new MINI because they had become an original Mini trademark 'styling' feature over the years. Like the classic Mini arches they can be colour coded but there is probably less demand for wider aftermarket versions at present for reasons stated above. (I have 215/40x17 tyres fitted on my MINI with no tyre rubbing under the standard arches).
I think this black MINI (not mine!) has a complete replacement aftermarket wider arches/skirts kit fitted?
