Taken from Vibe Slick amp manual:

Red LED = protection mode:

Protection LED Illuminates When Amplifier Is Powered Up
✓ Check for shorts on all speakers wires. (IE no speaker wires should be joined together and no speaker wires should be
touching the cars chassis)
● The amplifier is designed to shut down automatically when the units temperature goes above 80 degrees. If the
amplifier feels very hot then this may be the reason for the amplifier not starting.
● Remove the speaker wires and reset the amplifier. If the Protection LED still comes on then the amplifier is faulty. This
damage may have been caused by either failure to follow these setup guidelines or abuse.

Could also be a poor earth causing the problem.

i have a slick powering my subs and the light only goes red when i turn the gains up something stupid, every time theirs a big b-line it flickers between red and green but when turned down its fine. this is my personnel findings im not an expert. by the way both my vibe amps do this until i turn down the gains.
sorry should add as well my head unit turns off too, when i turn it up to loud, might be irrelevent but it might help, kinderish.
