that turtle trading site has more wheel options than what we have available here! how much was your set of wheels and tyres mab?
Although the deep dish ET-15 offset Minilite Mk11 is made in the UK specially for the Japanese export market, they are now available direct from Minilite here in the UK, although not widely advertised, not even shown on their website:
http://www.minilitew...om/products.htm
Note, they are not the same as the standard offset 6x10 Minilite alloys available since the 1960's.
Not many people know about them in this country despite being made here. Jeff Rugles of Mini Mag, who also has a set in black tells me in Japan they are close on £200 each.
22,680 Yen = £180 on Japanese website for silver, 24,570 Yen = £195 for black, 25,700 Yen = £204 for gold, 27,000 Yen = £214 for polished rim!

Direct from Minilite UK mine were around £65 each + vat including centre caps, wheel nuts and UK delivery.
The Japanese Dunlop R7 Road/Race 165/70x10 tyres with the classic 1960's Dunlop CR65 tread pattern are quite expensive due to import costs to the UK but are now available from Minispares, Vintage Tyres and Classic Tyres for around £80 each (expensive for a Mini tyre but not compared with other modern car tyres!).

cheers buddy, i also have another one, Mr maruyama was in a recent mini mag
http://minimaruyama.co.jp/
I was there in Nov this year, awesome shop and he is the nicest and most helpful owner you could meet. His english isn't the best, but he speaks enough. Soo many things I wanted to buy there (their range of splitrims is but sadly had limited bag space and funds. did get a few goodies though
Twin cup holders with twin fag lighters
Set of racing beat mirrors (he went and got these from the stock room as they normally sell to the Japanese Tex branded ones for 10,000Yen more)
And the obligitory tank flap (black/white reversable )
As well as a free sticker
I wish I could read japanese
Bable fish is better than google translate (I found any way)

It's got 340 pages packed with Jap parts and accessories from a bulb to a bodyshell. It's also got some great full page adverts for some of the Jap mini shops.
Cost me £20, which at the time I thought a little steep but, I reckon it was worth every penny now The guy selling it was called 'alfaorb' and he did have another from 1998/1999, again for £20.
I could scan some of the pages and post on this thread if anyones interested.

Here are some pictures:
These are just a few from Mini Maruyama. These pictures do not do the place justice at all, it was amazing. Mr Maruyama was the kindest person I've ever met, and we were lucky enough to be shown around his many warehouses and places where he stores all of his car collection (inclduing le mans cars). Once in a lifetime kind of experience.
And these are a few from our visit to Turtle Trading.
Potential LTD was a much smaller affair, here are some pictures. The couple who ran this business spoke very little English, but were very friendly.
I'd do anything to go back there right now, the mini world in Japan is a different world compared to over here, it's mind-blowing.
God I love Japan.
