DMS stuff is ok as long as it's in stock.

In 25 years of buying car bits, I have never successfully got them to order me anything.

Good luck with it but I think it will sort the problem.

Fingers crossed!

They had it in stock - just gotta hope they have given me the right one now!

Thanks Kerrin

Thank goodness!

Thanks everyone for the help!!!

Jason

now just to get me self an oil pressure gauge and stick that on... probably means another thread starting when I have got the bits so I know what to do with them!

Thanks again all!

Excellent news.

Are your clocks magnolia? If so mini spares do a magnolia oil pressure gauge, but you will need a tee piece where the sender you just replaced fits to the block, and depending on what type of gauge it is you will fit another electrical sender or a pipe through from the engine to pressure the gauge.

Hi Kerrin, yeah my Clocks are magnolia.

is it possible to fit the new tee piece where I just fitted that sender, then fit the sender I just fitted onto the new tee piece? so they both come off the same hole? or does the tee piece not allow this?

Thanks

Jason

Thats exactly what the T piece does (allows the oil light on the dash AND an oil pressure gauge.)

Remove original sender
Screw T piece into block.
The sender then goes into the end of the T piece.
There is a small adapter that screws into the side of the T piece
Oil pressure pipe screws onto the adapter, then goes to the back of the gauge in the car

T Piece (bottom hole = original sender. Side hole = adapter
Thread adapter
Pipe (5')

ok, looks simple enough  Thanks

I might be being really thick again here....

so that pipe fills up with out, then goes into the back of the gauge in the dash? (with oil in it? - seems strange that's all - bringing oil into the cabin)

Thanks

Yep. You get fibre washers with the kit for a seal, use them. Don't worry if the pipe does not completely fill with oil, it will still work ok.

Ok thanks.

will get it sorted in the new year when I put an order in... (cant justify putting an order in just for those few bits so will find some other things I want to order and bulk up the order)

Thanks again everyone!

J
