i lined the pulley up to the centre of tower bolt, does this pic help

Looks like its getting there mr Rids. Its sitting fine but can't help feeling it wants to come to the passenger side some more.

it fits and is clear everywhere, i think i'll live with its position for now. it does look tight on the inner wing but it looks tight around the cv joint on the other side. i dont know what the weight balance is like but i dont think a few mm would alter things much. has anybody any suggestions for jockey pulley on waterpump/alternator belt? i want to keep it small

theres a bloke that runs with a smaller belt and no tensioner over on the micra forum

the micra forum crashes my internet connection every time i go on! the pic shows the belt just running the waterpump, i want it to run the alternator as well as big chiefs

i think its gonna be easier mounting alternator at the rear as apposed to the front.

finalised subframe and fitted to car today hung all suspension and hubs back on and fitted some new hi los whilst i had it apart
does anyone else think of micky mouse when they look at this?

sorted alternator drive over weekend used a vw pulley, part number 06b109244 of a audi tt i think.

Well done mate. Athough does it not fit on the front keeping it a bit tidier?

it would stick through the grill and the inner wing would have to be cut away to mount it at front
