Heres a daft question! is the vacuum operated fuel regulater on the inlet or return line of the fuel rail? ive plumbed it on the inlet line, just want to double check.

Rids,

I see in your build you mention reinforcing your rubber wheel arches. I just bought a set for my mini this weekend and noticed they were a little wobbly so I read with interest your comments.

Any suggestions/photos of how you went about it ?

Cheers

i covered area with masking tape fitted them with masking tape over body to arch join. then with builders squirty foam, built up insides bit by bit allowing each coat to expand and dry. once fully dry i cut back the excess and shaped. i am planning to cover inside of arches with black underbody shultz before i put car on the road

Good news well done.

Are you painting your arches ?

Mine are black but have a few scratches on them so I need to spray them, so I am looking for the right primer and paint.

It runs! although its hunting a bit on tickover, i think it's running a bit rich and needs a run. I had a quick run on private land and everything feels well. i'm not happy with throttle cable run it feels a bit rough, i need a rethink on cable routing. Ive havn't connected cold start pipework, just jammed it in the warm running position for now.

Ruddy brilliant job!!! That looks fantastic :). Out of interest, is there space for a filter or have you just left it off till you find one?

got a longer cable for throttle, its a brake cable off a racing bike nice and long so no tight turns and it's nice and smooth. took it for an mot and passed 1st time.
done about 40 miles in it and am pleased with it. No problems and drives really well. Taxed end of the month and hopefully off to corbridge classic car show on 3rd july. anyone local going?
