Its useful to keep a relative/friend who lives abroad insured for your car.........
It's also useful to have 3 licences in 3 false names from 3 other countrys, a cousin whose a magristate, a brother in the Cabinet, and a pile of money to pay for Mr Freedmans advice.
Back in the real world where we don't want to go to prison for purjury, or perverting the course of justice........ If it was us, we pay up.

Josh did the course after being caught doing 45 in a 30!Everyone in my 'class' had just crept over the limit they were in, its not about someones discretion its all about numbers

And his brother has done the course twice so is still points free!

I think it's discretion as much as anything, as well as speed, age, etc...
Anyway, good luck to the OP! Sounds like you've got enough points already!

Great website, the guys on there know what they're talking about, you won't get any vague answers or mythical nonsense. They even have a calculator where you can pop in your speed and in what zone etc and it will tell you what action is likely to come of it.
I used it when I got pulled over by a traffic officer. He used some very confusing wording at the scene and I was too bedazzled by what had just happened to remember what he said. Anyway, turned out he just gave me a warning as it's been well over 6 months now and I've not received a FPN or a court summons. His warning did me well though as I've not been over the limit since then and I'm a better, safer driver for it.

you got post on christmas day ?this morning i got a letter in the post about a speeding ticket i picked up a week or so back. its a yellow letter and a white one, basically asking who was the driver etc at the time of the offense (38 in a 30 zone?)
anyway it says dont send money or a license yet, just fill in who was driving etc and send it back, it does say if we DONT that it will be 6 points and a fine up to 1k though. anyway im obviously going to send it off, but i have never had one like this before, so my question is, what happens next?
last time i got 3 point and a £70 fine i think, but that was when i actually got stopped by the cops, and the time before that ( a good few years back) it was 3 points and £60 i think? but that was from one of those speed camera van things parked on the curb.
any ideas folks? nice xmas present eh!

Funny you should say that...I do have three perfectly valid licences....UK, Spain and USA...although they are all in my name, all are valid in the UK.

I knew a bloke who kind of commuted between business interests in Portugal and the Uk and had a UK registered car out there and a portugise registed one over here. With 2 perfectly legal licences.

Well you shouldn't have. I had a Cypriot license as well as my UK licence, not realising it was not allowed. Until I got advised by a copper on a random check to lose the Cypriot licence.
Perfectly legal if you have residences in the countries for which you have licences. I've used my US licence here and spain with no problems.
