Dont run any arches, either put some 4.5 inch Minilights or some steel wheels! you would be amazed how much older they look with no massive wheels.

that was my first plan. if i was to have thinner wheels i would definitely have steel wheels with no arches but have decided to get slightly wider wheels/arches to give it a wide kinda look :) lol

im also going to be getting overiders :)

I have a set of 5 OEW steels. I'm thinking of getting them banded which means I would need to run arches. I think some of the more thin arches dont look too bad hence why I'v gone for group 2. I also quite like the cosmic arches although they are pretty rare now.

I did this recently with my '86 mini. Went down to 10" wheels, group 2 arches and mk1 grill. I think it's the best look for the car.

That looks nice miniman24,

thats what I mean about how far you want to take it, you can just pick the features that you like or if you're on a budget the easier/cheaper things,
I like to look at it as a work in progress!

If you want to run reverse rim steels (on disc brakes) you will need some group2's

here's mine sat on them

Sounds a good plan to me :)

But when fitting 10" steels, you are limited on the brakes to S brakes or 7.5" ally 4 pots as the fiesta based kits (or any 7.9" discs) wont work.

Thats the problem I'v hit. I would really like to get my steels banded and put them on but I was gonna go for the fiesta brakes. I already have some of the bits as well. I may buy some of the 4 pots after my birthday and put the fiesta brakes on the clubby.

That is gorgeous!!
Are those wheels what you all call "steel wheels"? How wide are they to fit on with no arches? Where can you buy them from?

Megamini your plan sounds pretty good make sure you post pics or do a project thread
