I've just brought a basically un-started Hustler 6 in wood.

Might be quite interesting getting that thru the IVA if it hasn't been registered.
Quite a few sharp corners.

Very good point!
I've only briefly thought about the tests and stuff, i'm yet to sit down and read through the processes.

I didn't realise there were so many kit cars on the forum!
And that most people that own them seem to enjoy them! aha

A guy that I worked with (Called Mark Sealey), built a GTM kit in the 80's.

I say kit, because he only used the Body, built his only chassis and had a 2 litre lancia twin cam with massive carbs and 150 bhp. IIRC it had a trick long travel rally suspension with 9 shocks. He sold it to fund the building of a rover V8 4x4 beast which he went and did the Pharohs rally in

I'd like to do a GTM.

Although K series based I think the Libra is one of the best looking kit cars of its type (ie not a replica). Going to ring them one day and ask if the 220 turbo tomcat engine would fit. Recon that would be good fun.

And that concludes another post

Good luck - it's owned by Westfield nowadays (or rather the parent company that also owns Westfield) and under their "management" the GTM brand seems to have died a death.

There was a Libra offered with the Rover (Honda) V6 so I should imagine a tomcat 2.0 would go in relatively easily.

I've got two GTM Coupe's at the moment. I'm going to use the best of each to build one car for myself and then the remains will be sold as a project for someone. It is already registered correctly so it should be a relatively easy one to get on the road unlike a lot of older unregistered kits that you see nowadays.

Just to raise the profile of the Mini Bug (another Stimson creation) search "Ugly Betty" on the forum. Possibly the most hideous car ever to go into production but one day I hope to drive to a show with a grin on my face as big as Darkscamps!
