Did you make these out of Aluminium? I'm going to be doing mine in 3mm stainless steel because it will be a bit tougher but a pain to drill.I also made up some spreader plates for my rear beam. Yes they are different each side!!

As for the door hinges they are allen bolt studs. The hinge itself is tapped with the allen bolt screwed into it.

Its a very tight fit to the bottom of the car. I did have to make a few holes slightly bigger and squeeze it into place.
Would love a KAD one but i don't think it would fit!

Couple of tiny bits to do, mainly adjusting the spreader plates so they sit flatter but thats about it. Will do it when i strip it for paint.

The front mounting points really don't look strong enough to me so i am going to rebuild them with fibreglass. Also the inner wing has a crack in it which i need to repair.
I have got some new crush tubes for the front cross member. They are slightly thicker and in brass so they won't rust. I need to repair the cross member and then drill it slightly larger to fit these.

As for clearances i would say there is probably more room than when it was fitted to my old shell.
I did take a picture of the inside but it looked awful. Will get a better one tomorrow.

Having tried my tank there is not much space so i will use some hose and run it to the normal place with a filler like yours probably.
I'm also trying to sort a steering column out. Think the scrapyard might hold a good one although i would like to modify a mini one.
I've been looking at different options for my master cylinders and have found a nice item from allspeed, will work nicely with the clean engine bay look i am going for. http://www.allspeede...m/subframes.htm
Dual line/tandem pedal box for hydraulic clutch, all new. Comes with a 1in bore tandem master cylinder, and a 0.625 clutch master cylinder. £299.00
Please note ! both the above pedal box's will require steering column modifications ie. either lowering using lowering brackets and/or the column will require double universal joints.
