I talk rubbish? I am sorry but do you actually drive one everyday? How many miles have you put in one? Anyone who is into honda or even knows the the basic will tell you straight up d series are crap, compare to k or b series. I am actually interested in seeing those 200hp a series specially with stock rods maybe the crank can handle but I be worry of the rods, you forgot to mention are they using stock piston, camshaft, clutch? Again i will state what I said, more then 200 hp can be put true a stock hayabusa, not a single part need to be touch internally. So you don't really have much experience at all.
I am fully aware of what each engine can push bhp wise. I'll reiterate again though, its just not a mini engine!
200bhp has been put through stock cranks and rods many times on an a series with boost. RPM is the limiting factor of a mini crank. Join turbominis and try to gain a proper understanding of what an a series is capable of.
You talk rubbish. D series is a great engine.
Yes utter rubbish. I've also been into Hondas for a long time. I have owned 4 d series (ej9 ek3, ed7 x2), 1 B series (96 spec dc2), K series (ep3) and a N series diesel. Countless miles on the D series cars.
D16's are great in most guises. Hefty skim and a cam (or cams) and you make decent NA power. My last d16A9 twin cam was 175bhp. A9 is one of my favorite engines.
Why would you worry for the rods? A series rods are massively over engineered.
Non standard pistons and clutch. A standard MG metro cam will hit 200bhp.
Well if you think a hayabusa is so good, then please go ahead and build one, i would like to see it. Under a standard roundnose to please.

I honestly have to say you have no idea what you are talking about if your defending the d series this much stock d compare to a stock b ( I own 5 with b series) or k ( 3 with k series) or my personal favorite the f (i own 2 s2000) series, the d is a terrible engine. I own many Hondas in my life, i am a big fan of them just not the d series. I would be worry about the rods just due to the age. When you mentioned 200hp a series your already comparing a modify engine vs a stock one (hayabusa). But to each their own, as to building a hayabusa, that probably the route I will take with my next build, i mange to get a crash bike in auction for 2300 usa. But anyway good work on your car,

I could defend a D series all day long. It is a good engine. I never compared it to a B.

Modified the head end plate for dry deck.
Bought one of minisports stronger verto clutch arms. i've also trimmed the clutch cover a bit more and added some Ti bolts.
The part you've all wanted to see....
It is actually quite bulky for an alloy head, the water ways are quite small and the TB mounts on the front are substantial.
5KG is quite a good saving though and quite high up in the car.

Been wiring between night shifts this week. Made a good start on it. Need the SC 7 port loom to show up so I can add that in.
Also got the box rebuilt with a new mainshaft and an ATB I managed to pick up for a great price last year.
