Tempted to get a MK1 shroud for mine now.

Do it. Much nicer look.

You'll need the whole column though I think. Different key setup to.

I won't be using the ignition barrel, so that shouldn't be a problem. Just utilising the indictor stalk. Does look a lot sleeker than the MK3 one, just worried my bulky steering column mount will dwarf it.

I think low like that has been killed by the VW lot, and on a Mini it just looks wrong. It's trying too hard

Won't be this low. But it will be quite near.

I won't it run this low. As i like to drive my cars, but it will be a lower than most.

I'm sure you'll change your mind when its on the new wheels and its got some arches!

I'm sure I might! :D Not putting a downer on anything here mate! Your progress on this Minus is massively inspiring, I just dont think Minis look good when the sills are an inch and a half from the ground, the same way Metros look naff when somebody has let enough fluid out that the wheels disappear under the arches!

Keep at it, beautiful already and it's not in paint yet!

Are you planning on running it without a steering lock? I wanted to do something similar when sorting out my QR boss, but couldn't see a reasonable way to do it without it looking poor!

Yea mk1 doesn't have one!

I'll be having a few random security features along with qr boss and gear shift lock.

Ah, I was hoping you would point out something I hadn't thought of doing :( I don't like the thought of not having the lock really!

Can't beat protechs in my opinion ;) What force wheels did you go for? I do like the look of some of the force wheels but I like the super trax I have atm especially as its not even road worth yet ha.

I've just bought rear ones for now, may invest in fronts in the future. I bought them from protech as you can build the shock pretty much.

As for the wheels, you'll have to wait and see ;).
