I pulled all the wood out of mine thinking someone had put it in themselves... As it was rotten like yours... Didn't realise it was factory! Ha!

Prob for the best.... You could always replace it with some ally sheeting to put some strength back in... but if youre putting in a cage, then there aint much point!

haha nice one!

Yea i'm planning on the cage being welded to the angle iron that's behind the wood. Its quite rusty but I've ordered some bilt hamber stuff to help sort it out.

Built up my inlet/carb. Modified the inlet considerably and i have cut off the water heated section. Painted it with wrinkle paint then another coat of metallic grey.

Also fitted the MED ITG stub stack system. Considering its supposed to be a direct fit i was a little disappointed. had to trim some excess material of the plastic around the filter and a little metal off the carb so the filter could actually fit on.

Have you given DVLA/Vosa this reg for inspection once you've finished the project?

I did think about it but then this came up for sale quite cheap and it meant I didn't have to chop the floor to get it level. 30L should be enough for me. Won't be going long distances.
