Sounds like a good plan blue. I was just going to try my hardest with some rattle cans. Probably going to get the bay done by my painter as that will be a bit special.
Been working on my rear lights this evening got all the bits I needed ordered :).

I've also prepared almost all the little damaged areas from 20+ years of sitting around.
Waiting on some gelcoat and i can begin to sort all the mess out :/.

I think its because it was never painted or looked after and probably left outside for the last 30 years!
I have ordered a few little things...
Windscreen Wiper Motor Inner Drive Cable (WCAB) CBS Wiring Module Cover (WMCOV) CBS 12 Circuit Wiring Module (WRMOD) Windscreen Wiper Motor Bundy Tube 1100mm (WTUBE)
Wiring module will be the heart of my wiring and the bundy tube is to move my wiper motor.
I also have a box of stuff from CFS (fibreglass shop) with a few kilos of topcoat to sort out my shell.

I may buy a wiring module for when I convert to a 2.0l 8v engine but for now its a custom spaghetti loom for me :)

It uses the original mounting points, albeit on the inside and only needs a little tweaking of the tube. The hole needs neatening up but that is a picture to show it is doable.

Yea it's going inside the car but where I wanted it the bundy tube would not reach. It's going under the bottom dash rail.

Wiper motors new location. Will go either black or body colour to hide it a little better.
All sorted. This was a pain to do. Quite hard to ge the bundy tube the correct shape etc.
Had some nice cracks down the side along a seam, both sides. Have taken them back and filled it up with fg filler.
Working on the rear valance. Has lots of damage where it has been lifted from it. Crazing cracks and actual cracks in the fg.

Some pictures.....
Cut out all the bits i no longer need, i will be building this back up again so the rad sits well against it. Making sure all air sucked out the bay by the fan travels through the rad, not around it!
Trial fitted in place.
Some clearance issues, will have to re drill brake line hole and i have cut a little of the subframe.

What coil-overs are using in the front? Would you mind taking a few pictures under the wing of where you have mounted the suspension bracket for me please? Mine hasn't even had holes for mounting a shock bracket let alone coil-over!!
I think when I change my engine after my MPI one dies i'll use an oil cooler :)
I'll be cutting out bits on my passengers side wing to make it flat to fit stuff on.
I have also thought I will definitely fit my wiper motor in the ******* pit behind the dash. Are there any hints or tips you could give me or anything I need to change on my original wiper motor?
Keep it up mate.

Yea i sure am, the rad cap is going to be a little tricky to do up!
I'm using gaz ones. I have really struggled to fit them on the front its very strange, i fitted up one side how i thought it should go making sure the coilover was striaght and it went in fine so i measured from various points to get it the same place on the other side. It looked right but i had a bit of trouble getting the bolt through at the top and it doesnt look the same as the other side!
I will be having another crack at it though, think a few holes might need to be moved a little.
I would also say try and mount the top bracket as low as possible as my car sits quite low and it doesnt even have an engine in it yet.
I shall get some pictures when i am next working on it.
As for the wiper motor, there was a lot of trial and error involved. I had an old wiper i just took the bundy tube off and used that to get the shape correct as i had to bend it around a lot. Then for the finished one i just copied the shape i had.
I got the motor itself in position before drilling a hole in the bulkhead so i could get a rough idea of where i would need the hole for the tube.
You'll need to shorten the wire bit inside but thats self explanatory really as it will poke out the end when you are finished so just chop it off.
I'm not really sure what else apart from it being quite fiddley. I'm not sure if your front screen is in but it would definately be easier with it out.
