Helping my mate clearing his garage yesterday and found a box with 2 cooper wing mirrors in. Cooper ones are painted Old English White as standard so thought I'd see what the match was like.

I'm really pleased with them. Suit it so well ha. Lucky find!.

Then on a bad note.

I got a puncher! So need to go and get that sorted as well. Dam it!

Cool project! Some unique styling and the banded steels look impressive.

A quick question for you. Do those wind deflectors that you have fitted work sufficiently? I've been viewing the Wood and Pickett website with the intention of purchasing a set.

Cheers
Alex.

Not not really lol. My mate has them on his Pug and they work really well but as the front of my car is as aerodynamic has a breeze block they really do naff all lol. I wanted them just for looks really. They are handy though is you want your window open a bit in the rain though as it stops water coming in.

That's sorted that!! :-)

They do look good fitted and my car is a daily driver, therefore used in all weather! They might be useful in the rain then! lol

Cheers

Got the puncher on the banded steel sorted. So I had a set of matching wheels for Brooklands. I also gave the car a wash and wax. Dam that Auto Glym HD wax is good! My hub caps have now also been sot blasted and are ready to be painted. I never got round to doing them before Brooklands which was a shame but my mate is gonna sort a few of the nasty bits of paint out on my car and paint them at the same time. Anyway for good measurer heres a pic of my mini at Brooklands. I seemed to get a bloody good spot right at the bottom of the test hill!

Yea old pic of the boot that. It was just surface rust. I rubbed it back and painted the whole inside of the boot black a while back now. Now I have the kit in I still have managed to get my tool kit, my break done box and all my cleaning stuff in their. O and a picnic rug. I'll get a pic with all the stuff in. Still looks alot smarter and now nothing fly's around the boon when I go round corners.

Bought a set of special wheels over the weekend! Gonna send them off to force racing to be split. Just need to decide if I go for a chrome lip or get it done black. I want them done for MITP which is a fair while away yet so should give me enough time to get them sorted.

I do love a nice chrome lip on a set of splits but I just dont think it will go with the look of the car which is why I'm being swayed towards black. Plus its not really common to have a black lip and I like things on this car to be different. Still on 100% though. I change my mind too much.
