Right well I took the car on the H4H run. Had a really good time and met a few TMF members that I'd not before so that was cool. While I was their I managed to pick up the studs and nuts I needed for my boot hinges so today a little bit more of the chrome turned to black!



and just for good measure heres a pic of my car at the show.



and for no reason what so ever this is what I would look like if I had a tent for a body!



Job for 2moz is give the car a clean cause my god was that a muddy field lol.

Well hopefully a few other small bits should be turning black soon! Gonna wait a bit to get the bumpers and handles powder coated. I want to sort out the sound system next. I also want to pick up the last few bits I need to get my fiesta brakes fitted!

I had a brain wave. It need doing again properly but for a quick first go it came up quite well but look. The bit at the bottom of the window on the door and the rear window edge and now black not chrome. Anyone want to guess how I did it? Its not paint.

Give that man a biscuit! I used electrical tape. Yea like I said its not brilliant but like most things on this car it looks good from a distance. When I get a little more money I'm gonna order some black vinyl from roofless and take the window off and wrap it properly! But for now this will do. I just need to buy another roll so I can do the other side lol.

Right well not updated this in a while. I'v been doing the odd little thing over the past few weeks but nothing that really seemed worthy of an update.

Anyway one thing I did was get some standard air vents for the dash and trim them to down and removed the closing things from the inside. I did this as I wanted to fit speakers behind them. This worked well and are now fitted in the dash.

Here they are cut down.

Just need to get the speakers for behind them. I also bought a pair of those air vent panels plates to cover the hole in the panel behind it. These have been painted in hammarite.

I also went down to Brighton over the weekend for minis on the rec. What a brill show that was. I bought a boot lid seal while down their. I got one that fits to the body this time. It currently has one of the ones on the boot lid but this is starting to fall off and leak pretty bad now. I also got a pair of clubby under riders for £2 to go with the clubby bumper I bought at combe last year for a fiver. So those and the bumper will be off to the powder coaters soon!

O yea and I'll take this opportunity to thank Lee (Toyboy) on here as I broke down on the way home from minis on the rec and he got it going again for me. Turns out it was nothing major. Just a loose wire.

Anyway I think thats about it really only other thing too post are these pictures I took Saturday. I quite like them and this is my thread. So I'm gonna post them lol.

I forgot to add. On my mission to dechrome the car I swapped my fuel cap with my mate so I now have a nice black one. Yay!



Also want to get that rust under the fuel neck sorted soon. Gonna look in to getting paint mixed when I get paid.

Yea I know. The big horse was giving me some right evils as well. I think he was wondering what the hell was going on lol.

OOOOOOOO and one other thing I have done today. Mk1 golf gti center sole trimmed so it fits a bit better. Still not finished yet. Needs a little more trimming and a clean.
