Wrinkle paint.
First dust coat, under the patio heater to help.
How it looks whilst wet.
After a few more coats.
Detail of the finish. Had to order another can just to polish off a few more thinner areas.
Waxoly'd up above the arch liners where the scuttle closing panel is, as well as the front and rear valances.
Also inside both bumpers.
On and bolted down.
Somehow during prep and paint this bumper hole became blocked.. odd! so I punched that through, still unsure what it was.
Tested both lamps to make sure they were working, the fog light works so I put that on but the reverse light doesn't.. I'll amend that tomorrow.
These have to go on first as they sit underneath the bumper.
Rear door cards in just for the hell of it!
Bits back on the boot. I'm undecided about the numberplate.. might go for the swinging plate.. although just a simple metal plate would look nice.. maybe a sticker if I'm feeling cheeky. It'll be a B&W plate.. yes I know.. and it's my responsibility!
Boot latch from the '90!
Couldn't be doing with the green flakey paint, so I cleaned it up.
& that's all for today :)

Is your harness bar the right way around?

Love the wrinkle paint. Is it coloured or do you apply over a top coat and it ends up like that??
Yeah it's black, it's very temperamental! there are some flat areas where the paint hasn't taken the right effect, but I'll give it another blow over and it should sort it.
Wow! Not seen this for a while now. Bet you can't wait to get driving it.
Is your harness bar the right way around?
Yeah it's the right way round :)

Colour is similar to mine and have similar retro finish in mind!
Can only dream of full restoring mine to a standard such as yours, well done for the progress so far.

Haven't caught up on this in quite a while, You have completely obliterated my progress!
The paint really does look incredible. I'm not going to hide the fact that I'm genuinely exited to see it all come together now.
She really is one of the best on TMF!
I'm going to go grind some rust off mine now
