I'm back for the weekend again!

Unfortunately can't spare any time to get progress made in the garage, but after a change of plan I've decided to sell up my turbo parts to free up funds to get her finished. Yes, it's a huge shame.. but I don't need a turbo, the engine will run sweet as a nut as a standard 998, with a few nice modifications to turn it into a fast road 998. I feel I'll already have enough problems to iron out without the added complications, time and money of throwing a turbo at the engine.. and as a daily, it just wouldn't do it any good! I don't want to get a few weeks, month or two down the line after getting it running and have to pull the engine out again to sort it.

So you can find all the parts I've bought and collected in this thread..

Here!

Are you going to stick in a new cam whilst it's out?

I spent a lot of money on the Turbo parts, nearing towards the best part of a four figure number.. and considering it's already fully rolling and I've got almost all the parts for the interior and engine.. it does leave me a bit to play around with. I'll see what cams are best suited for a fast road 998cc, but if I'm honest I wouldn't mind just leaving it as it is for now!

Yep Sandy Beige! An original MG colour I believe?

Aye that's the plan, not sure about twins as I've got the carb from before, but yep, 12G295 head, maniflow exhaust, LCB.. should be all I need!

Maybe!

I'm hoping for the shell back at Christmas time or sometime after!

Thanks mate :) I am known to take a lot of photos! I like documenting this kind of thing.. I take the photos of myself with my mini because when I'm old and grey I want to look back on what I did as a youth and reminisce.

Just ordered a few nice bits from Mini Spares and Maniflow which will enable me to get the engine back together :mrcool:

I'll be home again this weekend so I'll spend Sunday in the garage!

Don't forget I'm selling up my turbo parts, only a few parts left!

Here!

Haven't replied on here in a while. It's looking good mate, very nice work done and liking the tease pic from your painter.

Should hopefully get both our mini's running at the same time at this rate! :)

I think it was used on the MGB GT's between '65 and '68!

Ordered a few interior parts from Retro Re-trims as well :mrcool:

Should have some packages to open when I'm home next weekend!
