<p>It's on wheels <img alt=" :D" class="bbc_emoticon" src="http://www.theminifo...fault/grin.gif" /></p>

</p>
<p> </p>
<p>It was on all fours for 20 minutes <img alt=" :P" class="bbc_emoticon" src="http://www.theminifo...ult/tongue.png" /> back up now as I need to secure the front rear subframe mounts and also tighten the castle nuts! then it can be dropped down again <img alt=" ;)" class="bbc_emoticon" src="http://www.theminifo...fault/wink.png" /></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">It looks great, so good to see it (almost) rolling around after all the various tribulations! What tap and die set did you get? I'd like a little set in a portable tin to compliment the big set dumped in my toolboxs bottom drawer! </p>

I think you broke something...

Also, this update made me happy, finally on wheels, for a bit at least :D keep up the great work, also agree on the favourite project page on here part ^

Hang on, what's the problem with using the CV Lith-Moly grease? it's low temp and for bearings.

You mean high temp :P.

Nah I was just wondering! I found that General Purpose grease was recommended by most. I've got the same grease as you, the comma stuff and it does say wheel bearings on the back but I decided to go with the flow.

Cheers for the kind words!

And yes I mean high temp :P

Oh right, I thought I'd made a mistake ;)

Spoke to george earlier and we've got the 15th-16th weekends pencilled in for her to be picked up!

I can't remember who asked about the tap & die set, but it's a Clarke one from Machine Mart:

I'm also heavily considering selling up my Turbo parts and just settling for a quick road 998cc. From memory I've spent £700-£800ish on buying all the turbo bits so far.. if I was to sell all those parts that would give me a lot to play with for a quick road 998cc, right? I wouldn't spend it all!

A Turbo would be fun but I'm still getting to grips with the a-series engine! and after this full rebuild the last thing I want is to have every problem possible with a turbo, a lot of work needs doing to get the T2 working and running.

Why not build up a mild 998 engine? run it N/A with the option of using your turbo parts later on?

I did wonder if I could use my turbo carb and the mirage manifold, but without bolting the turbo bits on..

My 1380 currently uses a turbo carb without a turbo.

You could get a cheap LCB to keep you going until your ready for the turbo setup.
This is what I did.

Anyway progress looks good, looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Yeah LCB's don't cost the earth as long as you're not after a maniflow one. I bought a Mini Spares LCB to go on Elliot with the understanding I will need to fettle it a bit to get it to fit nice.
