i managed to weld in the rear of the new floor and started to try and line everything else up. now this is where it got to me, where the floor has been repaired previously they had welded a pattern floor over the old one. which meant that i had to cut out both floors. this has left me with about 3 inches on the front and the tunnel that im going to hve to make up myself to fill the gap
after i got annoyed i decided to start on my boot install which made it seem like the back of the car was nearing completion
lined up the boot and found that the centre of the hinge panel needs to be pulled out slightly.
started by making the speaker rings and mounting them onto the side boards.
next i cut a hole that will be filled with a sheet of perspex to see the alloy fuel tank
then i covered the two rings with felt
thanks for viewing

once i came back i set to work cutting out the rest of the speaker ring and making sure it all fits in the boot.
its quite a simple build but it makes the boot look so much better already.
heres a few pictures

Install looks wicked Ben, where's the fuel filler going?
cheers chris, the filler is going to be mounted behind the numberplate on the bootlid, but not actually on the bootlid. ill make up a small plae on the inside of the boot and cut a hole if the boot lid. this way it can be filler with the boot open or closed

put a thick layer of 450 CSM on the boxes so tomorrow i can sand them down and tidy them up and get them ready to be covered.
also phoned up alloy racing fabrications today and ordered my fuel tank, perfect blokes!. there going to put on an unthreaded filler neck so that i can connect my hose to it for the filler in the boot and fitting a sender and some extra internal baffles(Y)
