As far as the exhaust manifold goes, I'm now turbocharging so will be making my own down pipe to fit,
If you are keeping the standard gear linkage (sitting in the tunnel) then I would just add a long flexi pipe to your link pipe and that will give you all the movement you need to get the box up high. If you look at the build thread for "digler" he made his exhaust with just a single box sat inside the tunnel

Few photos to show where I'm at
Subframe on to check fit again and make any adjustments
Engine thrown in so I can make extra mounts etc although it probably won't come out again now!
Cylinder head is being sent to BENROSS for the chambers to be opened up for the intended 16-18psi it will have thrown down its ports
So I'm hopeful that by new year the interior will be primed and engine will be finished (all bar ancillaries)

Cylinder head arrived back from BENROSS and it's superb! Also sorted out a turbo manifold and started fitting my t2 onto it. Just getting everything together now so I can bolt the head on permanently and then I'll get back to body work.
Also started sorting out my wiring loom and have decided that I will make my own from scratch, seemed a waste of time to repair and then modify the existing loom. So I'm going to see what connectors I can salvage and hopefully just replace all the wiring. Will be adding in various circuits as I hate the 4 fuse design!!
Here's a couple of pictures of the engine as it stands (mock up stages)
Should be all set for a max 16psi! Plenty of room around aswell thanks to the bulkhead box, but being a 998 it's going to be a pain sorting the oil drain.
Radiator is on its way so I can start sorting the mounts and pipe work etc
Stay tuned folks!

Head looks great dude! What power you aiming for?

Hopefully with the right fuelling/ignition I should be able to get 140 at around 16psi. Problem is the gearbox and clutch at the minute so I will probably only run 10psi to begin with
On a progress note, received my radiator today, from a fiat cinquecento for only £23.00 BRAND NEW!
Looks like it will be a perfect fit!

The stumbling block I have is the gearbox, currently a rebuilt standard box with standard drop gears. The hope is that with a decent clutch (RTS) I should be able to get around 140bhp, which is at the top limits of a standard gearbox.
Benross and myself think this could make a very capable engine with some pretty good results. All of this is a mildly worked cylinder head!

You plan on changing the box and clutch eventually? I'd be worried to thrash it on the standard box!
Think i'll have to start talks with Steve. Has been very helpful previously.
