although from putting a wheel over the brake/hub set up on the floor, it does seem as if they will clear. albeit the calipers sit VERY close to only clip on weights for me

cheers
Ben

I have been told you don't need to use weights with the Force Racing wheels?

well i would assume they balance their outer rims in which case the rim itself would be perfectly balanced, but you can never guarantee that the tyre and valve is totally balanced, so its best to balance the whole wheel and tyre assembly anyway. but i can just use clip on weights on the inner rim and you'll never notice

ive run out of etch primer so once i get some more i can start on the inner wings and flitches and hopefully get my front subframe built up and on in the next few weeks. then its time to make the rear subframe and finished the rear floors.

hello all!

got some more of the floor finished today thankfully. could have done more but SENNA was on tv aswell as the rugby so that ruined progress a little

started with the steering rack bracket, all cleaned primed and welded on
Posted Image

than seam sealed it and proceeded to stone chip the rest of the floors

i also tried to build up a mock rear subframe but found that the infamous camber/tracking brackets are RUBBISH so ill be going back to the standard and then filing and welding to get the geometry right unless i can find a pair of KAD ones for a reasonable price.

looking very tidy!! :D

i was not impressed at all with the camber brackets, i would have liked to developed / made my own but lack of equipment stopped me..

had to modify them to fit around the forward rear subframe mount.. :P

In all honesty I'm not into my fords, so your guess is as good as mine! I'm just going on what he's said, so who knows haha. I only like it for the race style interior which I'll be taking notes from

Ben - that is quite some welding. Great job. You are very brave making such radical changes.
