It's a bit of an anti climax when you get there though.
A few thousand cyclists going up and down it all day, that go up and down in groups and shout at you when you go past. It's at such an altitiude that the air is thin and engine performance is like a toddler pushing you up it. Top gear didn't realy show the bottom of it, you twist and wind very tightly up a tiny road through a forest, the car I used couldn't stay on the right side of the road on the hairpins.
And there's mini buses, tourists, sight seeers going along it. Granted, if you can get a clean run it's an amazing piece of road.
Going down the other side is alot tamer, but so much quieter, but make a mistake and it's sheer drops.

This is on the other side, huge drops that the picture doesn't realy illistrate very well.

I like to think Taffy has just come over the top of the mountain to find this road to drive in his mini today.
