No update on the shell yet i'm afraid as i have been hard at work in uni, but i have managed to design my bonnet and boot stickers But i don't want to post the bonnet badge up on here as i don't want anyone else to use it But here is a preview for what i have in mind for the boot badge:-looking good!!!! any update on the shell or are you still in shopping-spree-mode?
The minus part is spread out and the text type is short and wide to replicate a lotus' bum

After a lot of time i have decided i should document the slow rebuild of my beloved mini. My ideas and plans have morphed so much even i have a vague idea of the final product i want to achieve. One thing i can say about the final thing is it will be perfect as i am an attention to detail kind of person.
So lets start at the very beginning Me and my brother went and bought a mini sky together with an MPI 1.3 engine in. It came with a K&N filter, Chrome wheels, Twin DTM , cobra monaco seats and was how we say boring and uninventive! There are so many to a similar standard/degree of dullness. I then bought my brother out but i wasn't happy with the mini after it kept having problems. Delving into the mini world i gained an acquired taste and began to go off the sky blue and constant battle with rust.
This is what my car looked like to begin with:-
The engine bay looked a site and the underneath was staring to rot through coupled with an overheating problem and dodgy electrics. I stripped her down to nothing and sold everything of apart from the engine front hubs and driveshafts.
Part way through strip down:
YUM

Here is some work i did a while ago but haven't documented.
I had to re fiber glass the back window edges as the last owner was a numpty and had cut too much out to accept a MKIII rear window. It was a very long itchy job!
Also started to fibre glass fill the back seat back rest so i can have it flatted back smooth for painting. Also re enforced some of where the rotten ply wood rear seat base had been.
Last little bit is the door frame i started to do for me to have a raised part on my door (border for the door card) I had to sand out and build up fibre glass. It still needs work but you can see the basic beginnings

I also need to modify the shell like you have done at the front edge of the door as my doors don't sit in far enough.
Nice to see you've been working on the shell. I haven't done anything lately!

Yeah i'm a little peeved about the radius arms so i'm in the process of sorting out trying to send them back but the guy i'm dealing with is a bit reluctant to deal with me (both the arms are non identical) even though i've spent loads of money with him. I think i may just get some specialist component arms as they will be identical to each other and do all of what a standard arm does. Oh well you live and learn.Thats a real shame on the radius arms. They look really nice, looks like its quite a large angle on the coilovers! Wish i could trial fit my rear beam, can't wait for all the things that aren't going to line up!
I also need to modify the shell like you have done at the front edge of the door as my doors don't sit in far enough.

As for the doors i did that in the frame so that i can have the outcrop which goes round a door card to carry on meaning that when i put my door seal in it should make it water tight (if that makes any sense to you ).

And then something just to occupy me i made some stainless steel front top arm end pieces (not sure of their exact name):
(Standard zinc coated one on the left)
