Mini Scura Minus

I started by trial fitting my tie bars, lower arms, upper arms and hub assembly to check on clearance and fitment. I had a guy from the 16v forum make some lower arm pin spacers up from some spare titanium I had as my lower arms use rose joints:
and fitted
The hub assembly fitted:
I then cut the rear arches back and found that I don't have to tub them as the rear arms would contact the boot floor before the 13inch wheels would come in contact with the arch as shown in the picture:
with the space above I have this much space between the arm and body work(a lot less)
Unfortunately on the one side I did sand back a bit too much so I filled the holes with fibrefiller but will fibreglass over it for strength:
I also started to cut out sections at the top of suspension turrets for more coil-over clearance.
Also made up some card templates and covered them in cling film and masked them in place to fibreglass over:
Got going on my rocker cover again. I started by nitromorseing off the paint:
Then wire wheeled it to remove the rust on the inside and outside:
Then Krusted the outside:
I also added a few more holes to the rear spreader plate to keep the plate in place:
Aslo made up the roll-cages new plates for the front four feet in 3mm mild steel:
And finally the obligatory dust drawing on the screen of some evil eyes

again I had to drill a hole to allow my allen key to reach the bolt to tighten.
I did start doing some fibreglassing on the rear suspension turrets but I only had a bit of resin so it is still to be continued. What I have planned is build up the recess' first like in the pictures then put fibreglass strips across the whole turret to strengthen.
Finally I gave my rocker cover a lick of zinc primer, it will eventually be satin black.
Thats all for now folks.

Prices seem really good for what you get in comparison to others on the net or in the shops.

I have already had them made a while ago didn't really want anyone stealing the design but I thought if someone really want the design they could get it once my car is finished :)

I like it!
Like the wings with a little more detail than normal.
Yeah more detail and sharper than the normal wings but with more character than the bini badge design hahaha

I think it would be nice to maybe have something on the replaced oil cap space like a vinyl but not sure what of. Come to think of it i'm not sure if a vinyl sticker will be able to take the heat ?

I have to say it is a lot easier and gives a more professional finish/look/strength than the 'Davids' crap that you get from halfords. The pack has really sent me a long way and I have loads left over. I wish I would have bought this stuff when I first started my project (it would have saved me a bob or two).
Anyway here is the work I got done with the kit:
Filling in the holes with layers cut to size-
I started the one side with the halfords kit but today layered it up a bit more with the new kit:
Then strengthening/reinforcing all the top of the turrets-
Then I stuck my freshly painted rocker cover on the engine with its cap on to see what it looks like:
Which is dusty! but still looks good :)
Thats all for toady.

Then I got moving on the roll cage I have had the feet tacked in place but on three of them i'm going to grind the tacks off and file them down to fit to the spreader plates a bit better ready for fully welding:
