Blimey!

One hell of a thread. Just spent my entire morning reading.

I have a friend that has always previously don't my welding and fabrication and rollcage fitting etc etc and I plan to get him to do my mini when I bloody get one.

...after reading this I'm thinking I should do it myself. Or am I? Its one hell of a roller coaster build and you should be really chuffed with it.

Hats off to you! :)

Wow! Brilliant thread. Well done Hugh!

I just spent 2 evenings reading it and loved every minute. Thanks for recommending it Carlos W  :-)

I've read through this and Rich2's "Rustheap Clubman" thread and I feel ready for anything ;-)

I've not been here for a long time. Still driving around in my wee green Mini. It is a reliable if somewhat uncomfortable little car but I love it. 3 MOTs under my belt now.

I thought some people might find this interesting.

My granny, my uncle Hector and two friends traveled in a Mini Seven to Israel in 1961. Remember this one had only 10" wheels!  These four people were not small. I was six then. I remember granny's slides as a boy. She had boxes of them where we had awful afternoons passing round a cream coloured viewer. She is long gone now but sometimes I would love to be back there looking through that cream coloured viewer and hearing her story. The web page here http://hferrier.co.u...l/?page_id=2751 might be of interest to some people.

A good New Year to you all, Hugh
