I know the fail is not the news you wanted but I'm still really happy for you. All this work you have done and after a few tiny things and a retest you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour and I really hope you enjoy it because you truly deserve it mate.

Only thing is, we won't be able to enjoy your build thread anymore!

Cheers

Ben

I really appreaciate that you're saving some parts that most of us will simply bin and get new (and in some case using faulty new items-but thats another story :P )

Good stuff

My first paint job was with rattle cans aswell, had it repainted a few times then because rattles gave me a dull finish, but its a good starter your green looks a nice colour too

One advice, connect the fuel overflow asap, if fuel spills out it can drip straight to the hot exhausts..

Headlight aim will always be out so two ball joints and hand break is an amazing result...!!!! I'd be chuffed to bits with that Hugh, I'd be chuffed if my focus only failed on that let alone a mini that's nearly 30 years old

You should be very proud don't tell your self anything different

After such a rebuild that's a very short list Hugh. Better to have these small things identified now. But secretly I'm thinking Wednesday does give me a small window to get to the MOT station as well...! Good luck.

Good luck Hugh, you deserve every success on Wednesday, it has been a pleasure to follow you on here and we learned a lot too, no doubt you will come down at some point over the borders, when you do, make sure you have a tent in the boot.  ;D

Well Hugh did it pass today? Did you get to drive it back with a grin? A sunny drive in the highlands? I'd hate to think I might to beat you to the mot....!
