jimmyH thanks for being nice but it won't be brilliant. Carlos thanks, it's very dusty, I do look forward to driving it. Tom I am struggling to maintain interest, I find all sorts of more important jobs to do! I'm doing an old Victorian bed for my wife at present. TheMiniDream, hoody99 and Marco1972 thank you all.

I've been on holiday to the Yorkshire Dales again - just love it. I'm back and not getting into it. I removed the rear glue for the headlining to see if I could improve. This Mammoth tape is good. It goes on easy and comes off easy. The headlining peeled off and than I heated the glue strip with a hair drier and pulled - came off no problem. I had put that off for a while!

I then tried packing bits of foam above the bars and re-glued it at the back. Will need to get more tape. The headlining is still as bad. I am just going to thole it. Maybe some years on I might have another go. I just don't have it. I'll put the glass in and not look at the roof!

I have to repair the terminal on the fluid level indicator sender. Any ideas where I could get some springy brass/copper type sheeting to make a terminal?

Its a poor show, I know.

Slowly but surely coming along, don't loose interest. Keep plodding along and before you know it you'll be booking the MOT and breaking down on the way there ;)

For the copper strip try anything that's electrical that uses batteries?

But rather than messing around it'll be easier to just buy a new cap,

Keep going Hugh

Looking good Hugh. Brakes, headlining almost there. I've taken the tactic of making shorts lists to keep motivated. Looking at the whole project gets a bit much at times.

Thanks again, Andrew, tractor, jagman.2003 and Tom. I think I'm needing a list.

Today - pathetic - at least all the brake parts are now in place

Hi Hugh, Not been on properly for a while as way to embarrassed with the lack of progress here. However your engine bay is looking rather full now, how much is plumbed up?? Quality work as ever . Graham

Far from pathetic Hugh. Slow but brilliant I say. (Let's not mention "slow" around my project.) Any and all progress is another step until it's finished. Just like Templo Mayor, Keep climbing and eventually there won't be anymore steps.

Yorkshire Dales sure is a pretty part of the country. You're lucky to live so close.

davej, Paul, Graham, minimuk and Don a big thanks again. Paul that is a terribly kind offer. I am going to be very ungrateful and stick with the bit of carpet I've cut out! A huge thanks though. Graham the brakes are all plumbed in they just need fluid and bleeding as does the clutch. Don I followed your two links. What a job you've done on the frogeye! From the ground up! I've told you before it was a car I always coveted. They are really neat cars. Careful, careful work!

Mine hasn't been too careful. I've put the Blue Peter dashboard back in. Its made from cardboard and sticky backed plastic. The Mini's trim is really rubbish. I had to put in and out several times before got it sort of right!

All that mess that needs hoovered up is from the rubber backed sound insulation. More rubbish that the Mini is made from. I had a problem with the left side air vent. Too close to the dashrail. I presume I got something wrong when welding in the flitch panel. Never mind.

Still crawling along, Hugh
