Andrew, Carlos, Brams96, minimuk, Chris, Graham, jagman.2003, Dave, Donn, BusheyTrader and Albertini thank you.
Its great to try different tasks.
Fitted the tail lights - for fun - one is slightly broken but it will do.

The Ebay seals were not too clever a fit and I let a screwdriver slip on my new paint getting a fit!! Do I ever learn?
Cleaned up the rear seats - a bit - very stained

A bit better

And then tackled the wiring loom rear section - earlier Neil in his wise way had told me to move it - and I didn't and caused the havoc that only I can bring.
Tackled this

I will show how I tackled this using the purple/orange wire
Strip and tin with solder

Put on a piece of heat shrink sleeving.

Tin and solder on a piece of extending wire

And warm the sleeving with a match

And the same at the other end

I have staggered the joins so a big lump doesn't develop in the loom.
There are major problems with tinning when the copper in the wire is oxidised. I fan out the ends rub with a Stanley knife and a bit of emery paper - done with the blue wire here

Not nearly as well tinned as a clean copper wire. Sorry for the poor photo
All the wires reconnected - the green and yellow wire was too thick for my heat shrink sleeving.

And retaped - couldn't get hold of grey insulating tape

I have several places to repair the taping on the loom - that's easy. And two other places where my grinder caught it. One is right through like above!!
Reparing along
